Engineering College celebrated its 6th Annual Sports
Day and College Day on 23rd February, 2008. Thiru. C.
K. Kuppusamy, Ex. M. P, Thiru. K. Subramanian, Former
Advisor, AICTE, New Delhi and Thiru. Cheran a celebrated
Director and actor were the guests of honour.
The function commenced at 03.00 p.m
with the invocation. Mr. S.Gunasekharan, Vice Principal
of the college welcomed the gathering. Thiru. V. S.
Balsamy the Correspondent of the college delivered the
inaugural address which was followed by the presentation
of Annual Report by the Prof. T. John Oral Bhaskar,
Director of the college. Mr. J. Rajakumar, the Physical
Director submitted his Sports Report.
Thiru. C. K. Kuppusamy through his
Chief Guest address infused the patriotic spirit in
the minds of the students. The key note address was
presented by Dr. K. Subramanian wherein he inspired
the students to develop themselves to be useful citizens,
as only the brain power will play a significant role
in our survival in future. Thiru. Cheran in his special
address advised the students to make themselves worthy
children to their parents.
The Management Merit Scholarship given
away to 75 students. The Tamilnadu Educational Trust
honoured some toppers of +2 students for their excellence
in the Govt. Exams held in April, 2007. Sports Winners
were duly awarded by Thiru. C. K. Kuppusamy and vote
of thanks was proposed by Mr. R. Srinivasan, Deputy
Director and all the entices of the day came to a close
with the National Anthem.
